Create a stunning 17” round table topper featuring a fussy-cut kaleidoscope center surrounded by layers of folded prairie points. The prairie points build outward in coordinating colors to create a beautiful dimensional starburst effect.

 In this one-day class, you’ll learn how to create the kaleidoscope center and use the Point of View interfacing template to position and layer your prairie points. Our class sample is made in fun Halloween fabrics, and we have a limited number of Halloween and Christmas kits available for purchase at Sunshine Quilt Shoppe or use the fabric requirements below to choose your own fabrics and create a topper that fits your style, décor, or favorite season.

Some homework will be required before class so you’ll be ready to jump into the project on class day. Homework is to cut out all fabrics for prairie points and binding prior to class.

The Point of View Kaleidoscope Folded Star Table Topper pattern is required and sold separately at Sunshine Quilt Shoppe. We also carry the kaleidoscope ruler, which makes cutting your kaleidoscope center easier, and the prairie point pressing tool, which is helpful for creating crisp, consistent prairie points.

Fabric Requirements:

• From 1/4 – 1 yard for the kaleidoscope center (amount depends on the design repeat)

• 1/3 yard each of 4 fabrics for the prairie points

• 19” × 19” for backing

• 2/3 yard for batting (45” wide)

• 1/6 yard for non-bias binding or a FQ or 1/2 yard for bias binding
