This re-designed foot now gives complete control over the width of seam due to an improved slightly oval slot to accommodate alternative needle positions.

Centre position gives a standard 1/4" (6mm) seam.
Move the needle two steps to the right and you have a perfect scant 1/4" seam.
Handy edge guide.
For perfect 1/4" seams on thicker fabrics move the needle two steps to the left.
